Carol of Lights Pre-Lighting Festival

Carol of Lights is one of Texas Tech's most unique and treasured traditions. There is nothing like that moment when the campus is instantly illuminated by more than 25,000 red, white and orange lights.

The Texas Tech Alumni Association and the Student Alumni Association host the Carol of Lights Pre-Lighting Festival at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion just before the Carol of Lights.

Santa Clause will make his traditional appearance and all in attendance is urged to sit on Santa's lap letting him know what to bring you for the Holiday Season.

The Student Alumni Association Board of Directors will be giving away a $1,000 Scholarship for the upcoming spring semester. Keep an eye out for SAAB throughout the months of October and November around campus and at other locations off-campus. SAAB will be selling raffle tickets at $1.00 per ticket at the pre-party as well.

The Pre-Lighting Festival gives folks a chance to come early, get that good parking spot and enjoy a warm beverage in the comfort of the Frazier Alumni Pavilion.

The Frazier will also serve as a drop-off location for the Toys for Tots program that is run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve. The Alumni Association wants to urge all who plan on attending the event to bring a new unwrapped toy to donate to the Toys for Tots program.

This year, make your Carol of Lights experience even better by stopping off at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion. Doors open at 5 p.m. and we will stay open until the Carol of Lights festivities begin. By the way, don't forget to bring a toy for the Toys for Tots toy drive.
