Your gift to the Texas Tech Alumni Association helps to meet academic needs throughout Texas Tech University by providing the following:

Academic Recruiting
The association continually assists in the area of academic recruiting. Each year the association contributes in attracting the finest students to Texas Tech.

Academic Scholarships
Every year, the Alumni Association provides more than 600 scholarships to students from across the world.

Alumni Awards
Each year, the association presents a number of awards to alumni, professors and university staff. The awards include the Distinguished Alumni Awards, Distinguished Service Award, Lauro F. Cavazos Award and the Top Techsan Awards.

Endowed Professorships
The Alumni Association Distinguished Professorship in Mathematics and the Alumni Association Distinguished Visiting Mathematician Program provide funding for Texas Tech professors and professors from other schools to visit each other's institutions to work with faculty, students and to conduct research.

Graduation Lapel Pins
During each commencement ceremony, the association awards every graduate with a lapel pin. This pin is worn only by Texas Tech graduates.

Highest Ranking Graduate Awards
At all commencement ceremonies, the Alumni Association honors the highest-ranking graduates for each academic college. Each recipient is mailed a plaque upon being recognized at commencement.

New Faculty Awards
Annually, the association honors one faculty member from each college. Faculty whose tenure tract appointment began no more than four years prior are eligible for nomination.

Red Raider Camp
Since its inception, the Alumni Association has been an integral part of funding Red Raider Camp. The camp is held every summer in Junction, Texas, to teach incoming freshmen Texas Tech traditions and to instill the excitement of being a Red Raider.

Reunions & Homecoming
The Alumni Association holds the 50-year class reunion every May and sponsors many annual homecoming events, including: Top Techsan Luncheon, A Matador Evening and pregame parties at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion.

Student Alumni Association Board of Directors
The 36-member student organization enriches relationships between students and alumni to inspire loyalty, provide service and preserve traditions of Texas Tech University. In addition, it serves as the governing body that directs the initiatives of the Student Alumni Association.

Student Alumni Association
The Student Alumni Association is one of Texas Tech's many student organizations. SAA benefits include a T-shirt, a bi-monthly e-newsletter, opportunities to win money towards tuition, invitations to participate in Dinner With 10 Red Raiders functions, plus much more.
