The 2012 Texas Tech Ornament is now available! These handcrafted keepsakes make the perfect gift and add a touch of Texas Tech spirit to any home, so order yours today. This year’s ornament is available in both black and red versions for $25 each, or purchase the pair for $40.

Will Rogers on his horse, Soapsuds, is one of the most recognized landmarks on the Texas Tech University campus. For 64 years, this statue has been sitting at the heart of the campus. Before every home football game, the Saddle Tramps wrap “Old Will” with red crepe paper.

The first official university ornament was designed by the wife of former Speaker of the Texas House of Representatives and Texas Tech alumna, Nelda Laney, in 1997. The ornament instantly became a Red Raider tradition that has continued for 16 years.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each ornament goes toward scholarships.
