The Goin' Band from Raiderland has been accepted to march in the 2023 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Music Festivals & Tours will be coordinating the band's trip to New York and are offering a Travel With the Goin' Band from Raiderland to New York City package so you can make your way to New York City to cheer on the band!
Charter Air Service from Lubbock to New York
The Texas Tech Alumni Association is offering a charter flight for those interested in traveling to NYC with fellow Red Raiders. This is in addition to the land package below.
The charter will depart Lubbock at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 20, and then again from Dallas at 10:30 a.m., arriving LaGuardia Airport in NYC at 2:45 p.m. The return flight will depart LaGuardia at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 24, and again from Dallas at 4:30 p.m. arriving in Lubbock at 5:40 p.m.
Round-trip airfare on the 737-700 from Lubbock will be $1,150 per person, including luggage handling and motorcoach transportation to and from the Sheraton Hotel at Times Square. Due to the increased stopover cost in Dallas, round-trip fare for Metroplex travelers will be $1,600 per person. Both price points allow for one checked bag and carry-on.

Ground Travel Package
Texas Tech University has partnered with Music Festivals & Tours to produce
a travel package
for Red Raiders wishing to make the trip to New York City to cheer on the
Goin' Band from Raiderland
in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. The Sheraton New York Times Square
will serve as the host hotel
for Red Raider fans and the packages include tickets to see the Radio City
Christmas Spectacular, and
a Thanksgiving dinner cruise around the New York Harbor with the Goin' Band! To secure your package,
you must register by May 26. Please note that the travel package does not include
reserved seating to watch the parade as this type of seating is not made
available to purchase.
