Legacy University

Priority registration for Legacy University will open on March 12. Open registration will begin on March 19.

Legacy University was an absolute success in 2023 and the Texas Tech Alumni Association is excited to host our fourth annual camp in 2024 on Wednesday, July 24, through Friday, July 26. Legacy U presents an opportunity for TTAA Legacies ages 7 to 13 and their grandparents to attend this intergenerational experience on Texas Tech's campus. This three-day summer camp engages grandparents and their aspiring Red Raider grandchildren in hands-on academic activities, while celebrating the traditions that make Texas Tech unique.

Legacies and their grandparents will get a taste for college life by staying in the residence halls and attending classes together in a chosen major. After completing the program, Legacies will “graduate” with a certificate in their chosen field. Along with activities in the classroom, Legacy U participants will get a chance to meet Raider Red and the Masked Rider at an exclusive spirit rally.

Legacy U is a TTAA member benefit; only registered Legacies are invited and allowed to attend. A Legacy is a child who is registered in the TTAA Legacy Club under an active member of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. Grandparents who attend Legacy University do not have to be members of TTAA or have attended TTU.

Eligibility

Legacy University is one of the many benefits of being a member of the Texas Tech Alumni Association. To participate, a child must be between the ages of 7 and 13 and be registered in the Legacy Club under a parent or grandparent who is a current member of TTAA. However, grandparents who attend Legacy U do not have to be members of the Texas Tech Alumni Association or graduates of Texas Tech.
